The group should find a minimun of two (2) personal and two (2) historical facts (that includes math and science) for each person on the list. Use the resource list as well as your textbook to find both common and unfamiliar facts.

Which of the historical figures do you think is the most important? Which is the least? Why?
Do you think Galileo did the right thing in abjuring his book under threat from the Inquisition?
Choose one historical person from the list. With your group, choose one of the following activities:
1. Create a cartoon. It should have a minimum of four frames:
include the common belief held by most people before the scientist came along;
the new idea of the scientist;
the reaction of society to the new idea;
and the lasting effect of the idea.
This can be presented as a PowerPoint, posterboard, on Comic Life, or other form.
2. Create a dramatic skit (monologue, duet, or other) that demonstrates the challenges
that the scientist faced. (As a reference, use the four steps from #1.)
This can be presented with actors in front of the class, on video, or other still frames.
3. Create a monument for the scientist. (This would be like charades or a frozen moment.)
4. Create a board game for your scientist.
5. Create a physical representation of the scientific experiment or discovery that was most
significant.
